Checking the server…

1. Install the pack

One import gives you the exact Forge build, every mod, 6 GB of memory for the game, sensible video settings, and the server already in your list. Same steps on Windows and Mac.

  1. Install Prism Launcher and sign in with your Microsoft account. On a Mac with Apple silicon, pick the Apple Silicon build.
  2. In Prism, click Add Instance, then Import on the left.
  3. Paste this link into the field and click OK:
  4. Wait for the download, about 250 MB. Prism fetches Java 17 by itself if you do not have it.
Shaders are in the pack but off. To turn one on, open Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs and pick one. Start with Complementary Reimagined. If the game stutters, pick Miniature Shader or turn shaders off again.
If your computer has 8 GB of memory or less, lower the game's share: right-click the instance, Edit → Settings → Java, and set the maximum to 4096.

2. Join

Launch the instance, open Multiplayer, and join Sackett Modded. It is already in the list. If it ever goes missing, the address is:

The server has a whitelist. If you see "You are not white-listed", send Jared your Minecraft username. The first load of the world takes a minute.

Keys worth knowing

Voice chat: V menu, M mute, Caps Lock push to talk, G groups. Map: J full map, B waypoint, N waypoint list. Music: 0 opens the shared player. Ping a spot for others: X. Shaders: O picks a pack, K toggles.

Some mod keys moved to avoid clashes: the quiver is ], the Effortless Building menu is `, aircraft boost is Right Shift. Options → Controls → Key Binds has a search box.

When the pack changes

Jared rebuilds the pack at the same link. Delete the old instance in Prism and import the link again. Your builds live on the server, so nothing is lost.
